I was going through my grandmother's jewelry box and found diamond earrings. The problem is, she must have lost one about 30 years ago, and I found the other one. An expert there took my earring, checked the stone, weighed the gold, and said, "This is a beautiful antique piece; we'll buy it." They paid accordingly, not like they were selling scrap metal.
